They are FREE
Why are our club runs free ? People are struggling to become healthy and fit, we are surrounded by unhealthy food and bombarded by food advertising. Mentally we are hit by negative press day after day. Running can change your life. At Exmouth Running Club we don't want any barriers for anyone to take up running whether monetary or social, we want to help people to take that step forward to changing their lives.
Yes there is a social after our run on a Thursday, this tends to be at The Beach pub. We also go for coffee after Parkrun on a Saturday morning.
By running with others you create friendships and generally become more motivated. The Thursday session is also aimed at improving your running and the club can also give you discount codes on running events/races. We give you support and a belief that you can achieve whatever your goals and we are very friendly. The club also has a fully qualified running coach (Cirf)
These vary as we cater for various speeds, the Thursday training session is very much geared up for this as they take part in a space where all can stay together. If you are returning to running or just building up your confidence we also have a run once a week dedicated to this.
' I have no hesitation in recommending ERC to other ladies.
The encouragement / advice given by each member is brilliant but especially by Kev.
Kev has ensured everyone within the group is treated equally and with respect.
I thought I ran at a fairly decent pace but now having been out with the group my running has improved, my pace is quicker.
Having experienced other groups, I would highly recommend ladies to join ours, you would be made so welcome. '
' I wanted a running club that would help me to improve my stamina and performance so I gave the Thursday night training sessions at ERC a go.
I was apprehensive on my first night being an older and slower runner. But the club was very friendly and supportive of my effort. You get out what you put in, everyone works to their own potential . The camaraderie is fantastic.. and the social afterwards is welcome for rehydration.'
